What JT Digital built since March
Client work for GZS, FIVB and SPORTO, the Everyframe engine and our own products, from March to September.

Our last post here went up on 23 March. Since then we at JT Digital have built the platform GZS runs its national innovation awards on, and the whole platform FIVB uses to measure and certify the sustainability of volleyball events. A video engine grew out of the GZS work, and we have launched products of our own. Most of our time now goes into one of them, Everyframe Composer.

Client platforms
GZS Inovacije
GZS Inovacije is the national innovation awards programme of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS). Until this year the whole programme ran from one spreadsheet, certificates included. This year it ran on a platform we built, and 235 entries came in from about 180 companies through all 13 regional chambers.

Between 21 May and 18 June each regional chamber held its ceremony and handed out certificates the platform had made. The national ceremony followed on 15 September at Dan inovativnosti, GZS's innovation day at Brdo pri Kranju, and we were there with a stand of our own. We ran the Competify demo on it and a looping film of our work on a wide screen. GZS lists JT Digital among the day's exhibitors, and its photos from the day are on Flickr.

During the cycle GZS came back for three more things: the certificate generator, a way to export files in bulk, and the videos. Every entry got a 35-second video with a Slovenian voiceover, and nobody edited any of them by hand. The voice was still being chosen at the time, so each of the 235 entries was rendered six times, once per candidate voice. That came to 1,410 videos, and GZS received the 235 made with the voice it chose.

The videos start as descriptions in code, and one mistake in any description stops the whole run before a frame is drawn. The voice says technical terms the way Slovenian speakers do, because each term is checked against the official Slovenian word database (Sloleks).
STEM 50
STEM 50 is a new national awards programme for master's theses and doctoral dissertations, and we built its portal from the GZS Inovacije platform. Judging runs in two rounds. A commission at each faculty first scores the theses of its own students, and the ones it picks go on to a national selection, where the gold, silver, bronze and special recognitions are decided.
Master's and PhD work are scored on separate criteria and ranked on separate boards in both rounds, because a ranking only means something when every entry on it was measured the same way. Partner companies can read every submitted thesis. Students who do not have a topic yet can sign up to work on a problem a company brings. The portal went online at stem50-prijava.gzs.si on 21 September, ahead of the first round of applications.
SPORTO Awards
For the SPORTO Awards, Sport Media Focus sent its brief at 08:37 on 21 September. By 17:33 that day the rebuilt portal had taken over sportoawards.com, and work on it had begun 14 days earlier.

Entries and judging have run on our software since 2024, with 37 entries that year and 16 in 2025. Both past editions moved across into the new portal, and the 2026 edition takes entries until 6 November.

Planet Positive Ride
We built Planet Positive Ride for Toleranca marketing, the Slovenian event organiser, and it has been running since May. It lets people going to the same event share a car and counts how much CO2 those shared rides save. A public page shows the formula behind that count. In its worked example, two passengers who share a car for 80 km save 19.2 kg of CO2. Drivers' licence plates stay hidden from anyone who has not confirmed their email address.
Competify, or Tekmovalni portal
Competify, called Tekmovalni portal in Slovenia, is the name under which we build competition portals for other organisers. Every portal is custom software made for one competition, so what defines the competition stays the organiser's: the jury, the criteria, the rules, the visual identity and the domain. The organiser describes their competition in a few sentences, and we build a working first version of their portal from that. The applicant, judge and organiser views all work in it, and the organiser sees it before deciding whether to go on. If they do, we run the first edition together with them.
The public demo is an employee ideas programme at a made-up foundry. You can try it as an applicant, as the person in a department who screens ideas before the judges see them, as a judge or as the organiser, and nothing you do there is saved. When a judge drags a slider, the total and the medal change during the drag. The browser uses the same scoring code the server saves with, so the number on screen always matches the one on the leaderboard. The demo is the one we ran on our stand at Dan inovativnosti.
